Episode 11: East Meets West – Retroworld Expo 2018 VGM Panel with Cam Werme and Rhythm & Pixels

Ed takes to the stage at Retroworld Expo 2018 in Hartford CT, joined by Rob and Pernell from Rhythm & Pixels, and Cam Werme!

On this bonus episode of The VGMbassy, Ed takes to the stage at Retroworld Expo 2018 in Hartford CT! He’s joined by his pals from the Rhythm & Pixels VGM podcast, Rob and Pernell, and VGMbassador Cam Werme. The theme of this year’s panel is “East Meets West,” in which the guys play selections from each of the major 8 and 16 bit consoles, talk a little about each sound chip, and compare how Japanese and Western composers traditionally used each one. We had a great crowd come out to watch us, and there’s plenty of humor and interesting factoids to listen to!

You can also watch a video of the panel (and subscribe to the new VGMbassy YouTube channel) here:
